In order to become a CNA or Certified Nursing Assistant, you must first enroll in a certification training program. Most CNA classes are part of a program designed to prepare candidates for a certification test that is given by the State Board of Nursing. Some of the free CAN classes you will run into online are not necessarily part of a accredited program and will most likely not be accepted as real training by any State Board of Nursing.
There is nothing wrong with enrolling in free CNA classes online as long as they are being offered by an accredited college, technical school, or other medical institution. There are tons of study help or CNA exam preparation websites out there. Some offer help at a price while others offer tutorials for free. It is a good idea to get as much help as possible before you attempt to take the CNA examination. You can never be too prepared for something that is so important. If you have taken the examination and failed, it is definitely recommended that you get the extra help from one of these tutorial or test preparation websites. Most of the websites will guide you through the difference parts of the exam in a similar format so you will not be surprised when you sit down to take the real thing. Some of the data may vary from what you have learned in a real training program but most of the time the extra preparation results in successful completion of the examination and certification process.
