CNA Employment Agencies Offer Helpful Services and Resources

by Marybeth Bennett

Most CNA employment agencies offer services that lead to permanent or contract job placement.  A good CNA employment agency will go a step above by also helpings candidates expand their portfolios with training, education, resume preparation, and even self presentation skills.  It is to the agency’s benefit to assist candidates in becoming as successful as possible because a majority of an agency’s success rate has a lot to do with its reputation in the field.  Currently employment for CNA candidates is rising at a rate that is expected to double in the next five years or so.  If this is the case, the need for certified nursing assistants is going to cause agencies to have to compete for available candidates.  Higher salaries, better benefits, and even signing bonuses are going to need to be offered in order to snatch up the best available candidates.

The market is definitely changing and CNA employment opportunities have never been this good.  It is important to remember that many times CNA employment can open up doors to other opportunities within the medical industry.  Most certified nursing assistants go on to become registered nurses or LPNs.  Permanent job placement with the help of an employment agency is especially helpful because most agencies prepare candidates to exceed the expectations of a facility.  A facilities needs, criteria, and culture are all taken into account when an agency is screening for potential candidates.  Contract placement is good solution for candidates that are looking for a short term assignment or if a candidate is not sure of which type of facility will best work for their education, training, and experience.  Contract placement allows you try different facilities and even departments until you find a better fit for your skills.

Hospital CNA employment is very different from other types of facilities.  A good agency will know the differences and prepare candidates for what is expected of a job placement.  Many agencies handle more than job placement for a healthcare facility.  Many agencies have a very close relationship with a facility because they outsource human resource administrative services like payroll, bonuses, medical benefits, and even incentive payments.  Forming a good professional relationship with an agency that is highly involved in the administrative areas of a facility is a sure way to reaching a successful job placement.  It is important to remember that your success and future is the main focus of an agency because if you succeed so will they.
