CNA School Training Cost

The cost to complete your training will slightly vary depending on where you reside and on the type of training opportunity you receive.  If you enter employee sponsored training, you may not have to pay a dime.  The employer will require that you work for them for a predetermined amount of time in order to satisfy the cost of giving you free training.

If you choose the academic route and elect to attend a class at a local college or institution of higher learning, you can expect to pay an approximate cost of $450 to $950 to complete the training, take the CNA exam and get your official certification.  A few CNA training programs advertise their courses as all included which covers the total cost of the program and others may not cover everything you need to become certified.  It is prudent to ask questions before you sign up.  Once all of the conditions are met as required by your state, you then may begin to work as a certified nurse assistant.

What Can You Expect Out of Your Training?

The classroom curriculum will cover a broad range of topics related to the medical field.  Subjects that come to mind are basic nursing skills, physical anatomy, food nutrition, and proper food handling, which all are essential part of the duties you will be performing as a CNA once employed.
